I’m praying you found God’s Word to be alive in your heart as we studied Ephesians. It’s amazing to me how I can have read a passage dozens of times, and yet, God reveals gives me fresh eyes and opens my heart to new layers of understanding when I seek Him.
So where do we go from here? I would challenge you to pray about what the Lord has for you to study next. If you’re new to studying God’s Word this way, you could smoothly transition right into Philippians and study another one of Paul’s letters to Christians. But don’t necessarily play it “safe.” Ask Him to direct your heart and mind! You have all you need... The Bible and the Holy Spirit. Studying independently is like the transition from milk to meat. It’s different but SO rich and satisfying!
Of course, community is also key to our growth as believers in Christ. Remember that Jesus established the church and is the head. We are to be a part of an active, growing, Christ-centered body of believers and to share our gifts to strengthen it’s ministry. Pray for an opportunity to connect this way, if you don’t already have that. It’s clearly God’s will.
I look forward to studying with you again! I’m feeling the call to study in Ecclesiastes - a new study for me personally. Then, I’m excited to jump back into God’s Word with you on Monday, June 4th, for our next study....
The Life of David reflected in the Psalms
It will be incredible, and I pray it will open the door of your heart to the steadfast love of the Lord through all of life’s twists and turns. Until then, I will be praying for you and ask that you pray for me. Feel free to comment and share what you’re studying and learning or even email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your thoughts or prayer needs.
In His love and grace,
